The Greatest Experience in my life so far: Watch Owl City concert live in Jakarta, October 28, 2011

If you ask me: “What’s your greatest experience, Redy?” I would answer: “It will be when I watch my first live concert experience, Owl City concert live in Jakarta, October 28, 2011”

Why is it so special for me? First of all, I’m a big fan of Owl City it usually called “Hoot Owls”. Since I watch a “Fireflies” music video, I immediately like his music colors that always make me smile, laugh, and relax every time I listened to his music. It’s like whenever I started to feeling down in my life, then I listened to Owl City’s song and suddenly I didn’t feel that way anymore. My problem in the real world is suddenly gone, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because the music of Owl City is so bright and beautiful, and I’m so glad that finally I have meet with this kind a music that bring me joy and happiness in my life. Thank you for making such a beautiful music like this, Adam. Thank you so much, God bless you.

Now, back to the main theme: “The Greatest Experience in my life so far” The concert begin at 8:00 PM, after I waited since 6:00 PM because the venue is open at that time. I can’t believe I meet with so many Hoot Owls at that concert, I feel like I meet my Owl City’s family in there. So wonderful to see the people who’d like Owl City as same as I do. Make me feel alive, though. So, the concert was started with the live performance from a lovely Breanne Duren who singing “Daydream”, “No One Else”, “Gold Mine” with the sound of keyboards that she’s playing. Her voice is really unique and beautiful like the way she is, brilliant.

And then after Miss Breanne performing, the concerts continue with all Owl City’s band come out to the stage. There is Laura at violin and keyboards, Hannah at bass and keyboards, Casey at drums, Daniel at guitars, keyboards, and percussions. Of course Breanne is included at keyboards and backing vocals. While Adam about to started the concert, he’s surprising all the audience in the venue with playing a drums in “The Real World” intro. So great and brilliant…!!! After all, he’s multi-instrumental anyway.

At the first or second song, I guess. He brought his camera to record the crowd inside the venue, for all I know he’s making a short movie about his tour in Asia entitled “Through The Lens of Adam Young”, and that short movie is have a two part. You guys have been watching it? If you haven’t, go take a search and look in youtube.com use a keyword “Through The Lens of Adam Young, part 1 and part 2.” It’s awesome…!!! Who knows he can also make a short movie, right? I think he’s not just multi-instrumental, but he’s also multi-talented man.

As you can see in some of my photos, he’s playing 4 different guitars. 3 electric guitars, a white one, a sky blue one, and a wood color one, and 1 acoustic guitars. Those guitars are really cool, especially when Adam who’s playing it. He’s very attractive to all audience, he said hi to one audience who stand up close by the stage. He’s also said like this: “I have to called my mom right now, because the crowd is really amazing in here. I love you Jakarta, God bless you.” It’s so good and nice to hear that from him.

After the concert is over, I go outside of the venue to get some fresh air. At first, I really want to get a picture with Adam Young or Breanne Duren. But sadly, I ask to the security in there is really hard they said if I want to get a picture with Adam or Breanne. I’d kind a regret it, but that’s okay cause seeing Owl City concert that night is more than enough for me to make the greatest experience in my life so far. But, at least I take a picture with the man who make all that concert is impossible. Yeah, I take a picture with Mr. Adrie Subono, the promotor of Java Musikindo. Thank you so much for bringing Owl City to Indonesia, Mr. Adrie Subono. I really appreciate it, bringing him again next year yeah mister….

Well, that’s all my first live concert experience story. I feel so glad and blessed to get an opportunity to watch a concert of my favorite musician of all time, Owl City. This experience I will cherish and remembering it for the rest of my life, I promise. And last but not least, I won’t forget to say thanks for my beloved uncle who took and accompany me to the concert venue, thank you so much Uncle Doni Permadi Argadikusuma. Also thanks to my father and mother for make all that greatest experience happen, thank you so much guys…I love you.
