Indonesia sad and cry, again.

Last Monday, Indonesia face Malaysia at the Sea Games final football match in Gelora Bung Karno stadium. 10.000 supporters from all area in Indonesia or maybe more than that have waiting from early morning to get the ticket for watching a big match between this two archenemy country, Indonesia and Malaysia. Spirit of the winning that night has been fulfill our body and mind, all Indonesian people. We need so damn this winning after 20 years we never be the champion again since 1991, we thirsty and starving of the victorious. I honestly believe that this Monday, The Garuda Indonesia will taking down The Tiger Malaysia. We’re all believe that, right?

So, the match has begin at 7:30PM that night. First, our team lead the match through the heading goal by our center back, Gunawan D.C. Me and my brother was so happy and excited of that amazing goal, we were so glad that our team had made a goal in the minute sixth which is we’re leading at that time, but that’s not going for a while actually. It’s almost half-time break, Malaysian player made a goal by heading ball from the right side that kicked by their captain team, Baddroll. And what my brother and I upset about is our father, he was like supporting Malaysia than Indonesia. Bums me out! Damn! Anyway, it’s a half-time break. I’m not going anywhere, because I don’t want to miss this legendary match that we’re all will cherish and memories to the eternity.

So, the half time break is over. Now we’re started to gather around again to watch this match. But, as long the second half going on none of the two team made a second goal. So it’s in match ex, still no goal. And that’s bring us to the most dramatic event in a soccer, penalty session. When it’s begin, my heart pumped so fast which mean I’m a nervous breakdown. Gosh! I can’t imagine how’s the players feeling at that time, the pressure must be really hard remembered that all those player are representing their own country in this game. The first Indonesian player who kicks the ball in a penalty session is Titus Bonai, and he made a first score for Indonesia. But  sadly, our two other players didn’t made a goal. Same as Malaysian player, they’re also didn’t do the kicks very well. So, that’s bring us to the final kicks from the captain of Malaysia National Football Team, Baddroll. To our goalkeeper , Kurnia Mega. Baddroll’s penalty kick is quiet detected by Kurnia Mega, but his kick maybe a little bit too strong…so, Kurnia Mega failed to save the ball. Suddenly, the whole Indonesian supporters were silent for a moment…while watching Malaysia celebrate their victory in our own stadium, again, for the second time. After silent for a moment, they’re begin to cry cause they had to accept the bitter end of reality that happen again this year. It’s not just the supporters who cry and sad for this lose, I see some of the players also cry and sad for this lose. It’s so depressing and stressful for watch this lose from my television screen, I honestly deep down feel the same way as the supporters and the players…I’m sad and cry for this lose. It just like: “a little part of me just die.”

That’s all my review about the Sea Games final football match between Indonesia and Malaysia, and here the last thing that I want to say to all Indonesian people who watch that game…“This is just a victory that has been delayed for a moment, and our moment will come eventually someday…and when that moment has come, we will celebrate it together…!!!, Go Garuda Indonesia…!!!”
